On the 13th of October under the framework of project ACT (Artists Create Together) Caucasus Youth Nexus co-organized wonderful Festival “Tbilisi Park Fest”. To the guests of the festival we offered a few diverse workshops on different Topics.
Graffiti Georgia had its own corner where we were trying to promote our Social Enterprise as well as the idea of graffiti and art. Our painter attracted a lot of People with the masterclass and then they also participated in coloring. Finally, two beautiful graffities were made together with them.
Graffiti Georgia is a Social Enterprise launched by Caucasus Youth Nexus in August and aims to help young painters with fewer opportunities to improve their painting skills and work with our professional painters. This will allow them to earn income now and in the future by themselves or by working with us. Business model of Graffiti Georgia is to connect potential client to the painters and for it we are taking small commissions that is fully used to discover young painters in regions and rural areas and give them opportunity to paint with our painters and earn income.
The last workshop of the day was about art and handmaking and was lead by our winners of the social entrepreneurship competition at Kaspi Municipality : “GMT Crafts”. Participants with different ages were making their own handcrafts for themselves or for their close people. Beside the workshop they also exibited and sold their products for the first time to the public.
To remind you, GMT Crafts is a social enterprise established at Kaspi municipality. They are producing handmade souvenires and decorative staff. They social mission is to employ people in conflict with law because of soft crimes, so called probationers. On the other hand, they are organizing small workshops for the youngsters with fewer opportunities about art and handcrafting.
